The P-40 was the United States' best fighter available in large numbers when World War II began. P-40s engaged Japanese aircraft at Pearl Harbor and in the Philippines in December 1941.

Air Force Museum 2

Went to the Air Force Museum yesterday in Dayton, Ohio. This museum is located on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. A base that my Grandfather has been to many times. This is from the World War I hanger.

I rotated this photo a little and change the levels to accent the metal and rivets.

I only brought my 50mm; the lighting there demands a large aperture.

St. Louis Bear

"What's Up?" I know that is what he was thinking. I was taking pictures of this bear for quite a while one day at the St. Louis Zoo in 2005. I was new to SLRs and this was my 1st one - the Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D - Great Camera. Not sure if Sony's purchase of Konica Minolta's camera division was good for this line or not; only time will tell.

One of my cloud pics that I have to use when I may need to add a sky to a bland photo. This was taken in October 2008 in Kentucky on a small 2 lane road not too far from the house. I just pulled over and took several shots.

Grand Canyon

This is a photo my Dad took probably sometime in the 70s on a trip to the Grand Canyon.

My Dad always had his camera w/him and did everything he could to not miss an opportunity to capture a moment in time.

Sunrise - Empty Lot

This caught my eye while on my way to work in 2008; right after I saw the spiderwebs from the photo below. Was very bright so I had to use 8000th of a second on this shot.

This setting was in an open lot across from our home in Kentucky.

Spider Web

This caught my eye while on my way to work in 2008. There was a lot of spiderwebs glistening in the sunlight. Looked like a Spider Village.

Cumberland Falls

This was taken w/my 1st SLR, a Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D on a trip to Cumberland Falls, KY in September 2007. I love taking photos of water and the different effects from slowing the shutter, ND filters, etc. Many many moons ago.
